WELLBEING

We all know we need to keep healthy and look after our bodies.

Looking after our mental health and wellbeing is important too.

At Bishop Bridgeman, we do this by using the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’.

See below for some more information or speak to any member of the BB wellbeing team - Mrs Ogden, Miss Breen or Mrs Cooper.

FIVE WAYS TO WELLBEING

The Five ways to wellbeing are simple things that we can all do to improve our mental health and wellbeing:

  • Connect

  • Be active

  • Take notice

  • Keep learning

  • Give

Connect: Try to spend time with family and friends.  Enjoy doing things together and talking to each other.

Be active:  It keeps you physically healthy and makes you feel good. Try a ‘5 Minute Move’ with Joe Wicks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3LPrhI0v-w&t=45s

Keep learning: Try something new. Try a new hobby or learn about something just because it interests you.

Take notice: Take a break to see how you feel. Relax and look around you, listen to music or take a few deep breaths. Why not try some ‘Mindfulness for Kids.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ9zpRAPIuI

Give: Do something for someone else, as well as making them feel good, it can make you feel good too!
